The sky is dark with wings . . . .
Like sand in an hourglass, time is running out for Luce and Daniel. To stop Lucifer from erasing the past they must find the place where the angels fell to earth. Dark forces are after them, and Daniel doesn’t know if he can do this—live only to lose Luce again and again.
Yet together they will face an epic battle that will end with lifeless bodies . . . and angel dust. Great sacrifices are made. Hearts are destroyed. And suddenly Luce knows what must happen.
For she was meant to be with someone other than Daniel. The curse they’ve borne has always and only been about her—and the love she cast aside. The choice she makes now will be the only one that truly matters.
In the fight for Luce, who will win?
The astonishing conclusion to the FALLEN series. Heaven can’t wait any longer.
My gosh! FINALLY! After 4 agonizing years of reading and following this series, it's finally done! Finished! end! fin! Weee!
I really don't know what to say right now except I'm so happy I had the patience to finish the book series. It wasn't easy reading the novels, but I did it! Hooray for me!
This last book made up for all the lost times this series gave me. There were more actions, more sense, more purpose, and I can see where the storyis going. There were still lots of moment where I got frustrated because I was left in the same situation where the answer is not yet revealed-again. But by the last quarter of the novel, we will finally see why we were kept in the dark, and what things were hidden from us. And when the truth is revealed, it will blow up your mind! I literally stopped reading and exclaimed "what the freak???". Then things just got exciting. There were a lot of charming new ideas (mystery/solving puzzles) sprouting in Rapture that shows a good research done by the autjor. (Oh right! It's the last book! It's just right to put everything-when i say everything, it means every answer ro every question opened up in the series--in it.) Why do I feel like this series could have been better when it's only a trilogy? Maybe mix fallen and torment, passion as the 2nd, and rapture as last? Just sayin'. I'm just glad it's finally OVER. I love this series despite the torments it gives me. Just like how we love our siblings even if they bring out the worst in us.
Let's talk about the characters. Luce was still the same stubborn but smart Luce. Except this time she's more determined and more knowledgeable, and I loved her more because of this. Daniel , on the other hand is the same old swoon worthy guy that he is, but he is still sometimes irritating with the "I'm sorry I cant help you you must do this alone" and " im sorry I cant tell you, you must find it for yourself" way to Luce. I mean I understand there's a valuable reason for this, but I'm sure there's a more appreciative and less infuriating way to say it. Anyhoo, things were said and done... I liked Arrianne and Gabbe! Gabbe is just such a sweet, altruistic angel, while Arrianne is Arrianne-sarcastic but fun!
Have I mentioned the love story was more cheesy and sappy in all sense of those words? But some parts were genuinely sweet.. And there were also parts where I didn't agree to some of the stuffs written in the novel(like God referred to as "she", and the balance scale thing) then I reminded myself its fiction and I must not stress myself in arguing with it. Remember future readers, this is just pure fiction!
Overall, I'm satisfied with the ending, it was what I wanted it to be. I'm not gonna spoil anything to you, but i must admit it was a good one. I hope other readers would like the ending too. For that I'll give this book a 4 star!
