Love UnscriptedRyan Christensen just wanted to be an actor. Never in his wildest dreams did he ever think that accepting a role in an unknown film would toss his career into overdrive. His new fame has cost him dearly; anonymity is no longer an option. His fans stalk him, the paparazzi hound him, and Hollywood studios all want a piece of him. Despite all of that, Ryan Christensen craves the most basic of human needs - to have love in his heart and privacy in his life.
Taryn Mitchell, the story's protagonist, is a realist. She's been feigning contentment, running the family pub in Seaport, Rhode Island, while quietly nursing her own internal heartaches. Her feet are fairly glued to the ground and she doesn't buy into all the hype that has descended on her tiny, coastal town. In her world, men are safe if they're kept at a distance.
Fate has other plans for these two when their paths cross one sunny afternoon. A group of female fans has attacked him, leaving his shirt torn, his face cut, and Ryan in obvious distress. Bonds between them form from the most dramatic of circumstances while jealousy, insecurity, and the stress of his celebrity life try to tear them apart.
Through all the tabloid lies, secrecy, and pressure, can Taryn's peace and Ryan's high-profile insanity live together in harmony?
Love UnrehearsedThere is no rehearsal for true love.
When A-list film actor Ryan Christensen ducked into her pub to escape his screaming fans, never in a million years did Taryn Mitchell think her life was about to change forever. But now, eight months later, after a whirlwind romance, Taryn wakes up in Ryan’s Hollywood hotel room to find a diamond to die for on her left ring finger—and her face splashed across the cover of every gossip magazine.
Ryan’s very public proposal is catnip to the tabloids, his management team is worried, and Taryn must figure out how a small town girl like her fits into his glittering world. What does it take to make a relationship work amidst telephoto lenses, daily on-set temptations, and jealous fans who will stop at nothing to keep you from walking down the aisle with the man of your dreams?
With no script to follow and no chance for a dress rehearsal, Taryn and Ryan will be forced to take the plunge and risk everything to make their love last.
I’ve loved reading new adult and previously self-pubbed books lately. There’s just a genuine realism in them that draws me. And Love Unscripted series by Tina Reber is one of them.
There wasn’t anything remarkable in how it was written or the plot in itself. But, there was something captivating on the love story between Ryan and Taryn. The novels were like a TV show you want to watch every night. The pace was slow an building. The events that happened were slowly building to become one big plot.
In Love Unscripted, Ryan and Taryn’s first meeting was really historical, lol or let me just say it was a very memorable moment. I like how they were just friends in the beginning, or they chose to be friends first before pursuing something. As Ryan would say “giving it a chance”. Love Unscripted was more of the getting to know part of their story and the starting and trying to see where things will go. Later on, as their relationship deepened, the challenges they faced tripled. As they were both place in uncompromising situations, I loved reading about how they solved it. Ryan was a big hollywood star, and him falling in love and finding the one is hard for the both of them. I understood why Ryan doesn’t want to reveal Taryn, because he’s trying to protect her. And I also understand Taryn’s feeling of being shamed of. Besides that, a lingering factor that always always block them: insecurities and the past, leading on to faith and trust issues. They do trust each other, but there were always something that tries to keep them apart. Most memorable moment of the novel? When Ryan sang and stood on the table. :)
In Love Unrehearsed, I sort of felt like it wasn’t needed in the story anymore, but it’s just sort of an addition, or a bonus. However, the story inside Love Unrehearsed was still good. Still, Love Unscripted had more butterflies in my stomach and spine tingling moments than Love Unrehearsed. Mostly, we’ll see how tough Taryn and Ryan became here, and how more solidly in love they are and faithful they are in their relationship. I love seeing how Ryan’s protectiveness, and Taryn’s self-independence here. It was seen in the first book but it was more enhanced here. The main thing that is like the make it or break it moment in the story was for Ryan to pursue acting or not. Since it’s the main thing that complicates their private life, and this is the main reason where their problems come from. Wave after wave of challenges face them but I really liked how they handled things. :) The ending was really perfect and fitting.
I don’t know if these sort of things happen in real life, but I wish it does because Ryan and Taryn’s relationship was something that is worth looking up to, sort of a role model. Even if the novels had a lot of going on in each of them, but each event were not boring, certainly not boring. INstead, each of them leads to another then another, and overall to a one heap of a message. loved it.
